Development of Schiphol A-area

Project at a glance

Schiphol is growing rapidly and has the ambition to become Europe’s Preferred Airport. The current assets are not capable of handling the increasing number of passengers. Therefore the development of a new Terminal and Pier on the south-east side of Schiphol is necessary. The newly built terminal and pier will accommodate 14 million passengers. The project includes also the necessary adjustments on landside infrastructure.

AirportCreators worked on:

• Implementing the Systems Engineering methodology to ensure connectivity between company strategy and – in the end – all project solutions.
• Setting up the requirement specification for all parts of the Capital Program (Terminal, Pier and Airside, BHS, Landside, ICT).
• Set up and deliver contract specifications.
• Train >800 employees of Schiphol Group to work according SE-methodology and learn them to write functional requirements.
