Joris Stolwijk



Joris is a highly driven professional with a mission to use his engineering background to make impact on real-world operational challenges. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a master’s degree in Air Transport Operations, Joris has acquired a broad knowledge of all aspects of the aviation industry, including aircraft design, airport planning, air traffic management, airline economics and performance optimization. This enables him to create more effective solutions to problems by viewing things in a broader perspective. In his work, Joris likes being at the interface between engineering and business, forming the link to create optimal results. Because of his previous international work experience, Joris can adapt quickly to new cultures and enjoys working in different environments.

2018 – Current Lelystad Airport Air- and landside infrastructure

Consultant airside and landside infrastructure of Lelystad Airport, including the airport planning, requirements engineering and preliminary design of a new EASA code E runway, taxiways and aprons. (EU tender – 40 million EUR CAPEX);

2018 – Current Twente Airport

Twente Airport, which is being redeveloped from a former military airport to a Technology Base. The masterplan features a new business aviation area and the expansion of the MRO facilities as well as general airport facilities.

2019 – Current Larsa App

Product manager for the development of the LARSA App. An app for General Aviation pilots flying to and from Lelystad Airport. So they can schedule their movements when there is runway capacity.
